lighten up, first time ever i saw your face, all you need, falling
into the sun, farewell (to this old town), orphan girl, pacific
highway, cradle, fill me up, angel saved my soul, down by the sea,
you're like your photograph.
33 degrees celcius......the
shapiros lead by example....krush commits to bottom end with a big
beautiful fender j....helena is deluxe, tight but loose & happy to
have krush fully installed as "the bass player".....consequently tm
discovers a les paul in her hand & that she's not afraid to
use it.......sets interspersed with solo acoustica.............mucho
gratius....tres bien....merci

got off to a late start 4:49pm.....entered the straight in front, won by
seven lengths. called before the steward. protest withdrawn.correct
weight called 7:27pm.spent float rebate on fish & chips in traralgon on
the way home.

an indifferent staff member with a laminated card swinging
around his neck comes up to you & says..........
"if your staying, there's a cover charge of

well that doesn't happen at the bgh
because there is no cover charge

4PM ONWARDS
On Remembrance day 2006 a count of mccoculas descended on
The Brunswick Green Hotel, and after a half a bar of rehearsal with a
Count Mccocula, it was decided to give Sin City another go, this
time attempting to change to the correct chord at the correct
time.
Said Tess to a young Count Mccocula, "It's still in D. You vill do
ze melody & I vill do ze harmony"! The Shapiros were
happy to leave the chord structure of the song & stage to the two
siblings. Musicians & musician punters & non musician punters
& musician staff & non musician staff all joined in
the celebrations with Tess & a young Count Mccocula as they
"nailed it".
Set 3 concluded with the nineteenth song, So Long
Two Joelenes appeared almost from nowhere & soon the overall
performance level rose to an extreme level & then plateau but was
still maintained at quite a high level.
A performance highlight for the Shapiros & punters alike is Lighten
Up but on this Remembrance day 2006 the song was forgotten...juggling
set lists with 30 songs is always a dangerous undertaking so strategies
are now in place for the SECOND LAST CHANCE SHOW this
Saturday the 18th November.
